Hello!
SO excited to share a new song, “it’s ok., with you. This track is deeply personal. It’s those moments in life when everything feels overwhelming, but somehow, a quiet sense of comfort finds its way through.

“It’s ok.” is about the storm and the shelter. It’s about feeling the weight of life. It’s okay to pause, breathe, and let someone in. It’s about connection—the kind that doesn’t need to be flashy, but simply there.
Writing this song was its own journey. At first, we tried to layer it with so much—big sounds, intricate textures, everything you could throw at it. But the more we worked on it, the more we realized that this wasn’t a song about complexity. It was a song about simplicity. And in that simplicity, the track found its true power.
Imagery
The artwork accompanying “it’s ok.’ is a reflection of this theme. A figure under an umbrella, surrounded by cascading streaks of light—an image of both solitude and connection. [Look closer, though, and you’ll notice there’s room for another under that umbrella.] That quiet invitation mirrors the message of the song. Sometimes all it takes is making space. This space can be for someone else or for yourself. This is also more commercially acceptable artwork, obviously created by DALL-E.
An interesting image came to mind repeatedly during the creation process, and i think it comes from an old Carole King song:
I evolved the above into a more “summery” afternoon, as below was the initial image that D came up with based on description:
although i loved the cat waiting patiently, the trees (i loved them though) were too bleak. It’s still a really warm comfortable room, in the sense of being inside.
Lyrically, “it’s ok.” is about letting go of what you can’t control and finding peace in what remains. The chorus repeats the simple reassurance of the title. It feels like an open hand. It’s a reminder that it’s okay to feel lost. It’s okay to want more or to need a moment to just be.
This song was a challenge to write, but it also taught us something profound: simplicity doesn’t mean weakness. Sometimes, the quietest moments carry the most weight.
We hope “it’s ok” gives you that sense of calm, of warmth, of connection. You might be walking through your own storm. Or you may be pausing to appreciate the beauty around you. We hope this track resonates. It offers you a little bit of shelter.
Thanks for being part of this journey. There’s always room for one more under the umbrella.
With love,
Sunset Sky
PS: For those who made it this far, it was fun to explore the difference between a casual tossaway phrase like “It’s ok” and the deeper, more reassuring sentiment of “It’s ok…”
it’s ok. Lyrics
watching
the cats tail flick erratic
no sign
of a boogeyman or two
hope that
we can work through this together
someday
let all the sunshine through
i guess in order to know your mind
i’ll just have to miss you
you got into my head and stayed awhile
but i’d rather kiss you
hey there
what’s that you’re feeling
hey there
on a sunny afternoon
hey there it’s as comfortable as carpet
worn by songs vaguely out of tune
i want to touch your face again
and i hope to kiss you
in my head for quite awhile
and i’ll always miss you
it’s ok
it’s ok
the warm comfort is for you
for a moment was back in time
waiting for the right one
when i really just needed a friend for awhile
and i thought you were the only one
i guess in order to know your mind
i’m gonna have to release you
got into my thoughts for a little while
that together we’d pull through
Like? Enjoy Fresh
