hi.

Blending beats and standout lyrics, “hi.” is not just for the dance floor; it’s a chronicle of the power of connection. Let the track take you away as you embrace the past, the present, and the promise of what lies ahead.

Bandcamp

hi. by Sunset Sky

This one felt like polishing a turd for a long time. And maybe it still is, but I ended up liking the results, but again, it took a looooong time.

Reverb is my enemy sometimes. It can add a nice ethereal layer to your tracks, or it can turn them into complete mud, like my early experiments trying to paint with oil. BTW, the cover is a section of a painting of mine – acrylic on paper, part of my broken/breaking series.

About hi.

Introducing “hi.” a new dance pop track that delves into the complexities of past relationships and the enduring power of memories. With its beat and standout lyrics, “hi.” invites listeners on a journey through nostalgia and reflection.

The song begins with a simple greeting, “hi, what’s your name? You look like someone that I know, memories flood again.” As the rhythm builds, we’re drawn into a conversation between two people who share a history, grappling with emotions that refuse to fade.

Remember Me?

“Hi, remember me? I thought I had buried our past, but emotions run deep,” the lyrics confess, echoing the experience of confronting unresolved feelings. Amidst the catchy melody, questions linger: Do moments of our past still remain? Is there anything that stays unchanged?

Before the chorus sweeps in, the refrain in the second verse “Hi, how are you?” serves as a poignant reminder of the passage of time. Yet, even as one voice admits, “I’m just okay,” there’s an underlying acceptance and resilience, a refusal to dwell in regret.

Memories Resurface

Throughout the song, memories resurface, vividly depicted in lines like “I remember calling out your name, choking it down, and it was all in vain.” The honesty in the lyrics captures the essence of reminiscence, acknowledging the pain of letting go while yearning for a chance to relive the past.

In the bridge, the melody soars as the singer grapples with the reality of closure, recognizing that some doors once opened can never fully close. Yet, amidst the uncertainty, there’s a sense of empowerment, a declaration that the past may linger, but it will never define the future.

So, What is It All About?

With its irresistible blend of pulsating beats and heartfelt lyrics, “hi.” is more than just a dance floor anthem; it’s a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of connection. So, let the music sweep you away as you embrace the past, the present, and the promise of what lies ahead.

Lyrics for hi.

hi

what’s your name

u look like someone that i know memories flood again

hi

remember me

i thought i had buried our past but emotions run deep

do moments of our past still remain

is there anything that stays unchanged

hi

how are you

you’re letting me know that you’re well and that you’re on the move

hi

i’m just ok

honestly dont regret falling in love anyway

(i remeber calling out your name

choking it down and it was all in vain

its hard to swallow memories remain

i only know that the past will never change)

all that time with you was really so insane

i only wish we could live it all again

it seems so hard when i remember that it’s over

do moments of our past still remain

is there anything that stays unchanged

i remember calling out your name

echoes bouncing off the ceiling once again

choke it down and try to swallow in vain

but i assure you that the past will never change

found myself at night calling out your name

not a dream and i know it sounds insane

when i wake up and couldn’t remember it’s over

i’m aware that we’ve opened up a door

we’ll never know if there was anything or more

only one way to ensure that its really over

i really don’t know now just how i should feel

when you say we’re out of time and it’s no longer real

but im assuring you the past is never over

Hold on Tight – Diving In

So, dance pop stands out as a genre that blends infectious melodies with relatable lyrics, creating an addictive listening experience. “Hold on Tight” captures the essence of contemporary pop while delving into emotion.

As a result, beats pulsate with energy and lyrics resonate with authenticity. “I’ve got to tell you, been thinking about you all day long,” sets the stage for a narrative of longing. Yearning to connect with someone special but grappling with uncertainty about where to begin.

A Journey of Heartache and Hope

As the song progresses, the intensity builds, fueled by: “You’ve got a stranglehold on me, can’t lie about it. I need you in every possible way.” These words encapsulate the almost grip of love, and the vulnerability that comes with opening one’s heart to another.

But amidst the whirlwind of emotions, there’s a sense of reassurance in the plea to “hold me closely, hold me tight.” It’s a reminder that even in moments of doubt, there’s solace to be found in the embrace of a loved one.

Moving On

Then, second verse of the song serves as a poignant reflection on the challenges of communication in matters of the heart. “Easy to speak, not easy to feel,” acknowledges the disparity between words and emotions.

Yet, in the uncertainty, there’s a glimmer of hope. “I’ll hold you closely if you hold us right, please hold me closely, well hold on tight,” encapsulates the essence of resilience and determination in the face of adversity. It’s a testament to the power of love to overcome obstacles and endure through trials of life.

Here We Go

“Hold on Tight” serves to remind us of the beauty and complexity of human connection, where emotions run deep, love knows no bounds amid highs and lows.

So, as you go back about your day, remember to hold on tight to the ones you love, for in their embrace, you’ll find solace, strength, and the courage to face whatever challenges may come your way.

And, the End

Let the track’s pulsating beats and lyrics wash over you and remember to hold on tight to the ones who matter most.

Hold on Tight – Lyrics

hold on tight

i’ve got to tell you

been thinking about you all day long

i want to know you

but don’t know exactly where to start

i can’t deny it

you’ve got a…

youv’e got a stranglehold on me

can’t lie about it

i need you in every possible way

then i hear your voice

and i hear your pain

know it all too well

hold me close to you again

just hold me closely

hold me tight

easy to speak

not easy to feel

you’ve got me in in your hands

what can i say…

maybe im just weak that way

but if you let me explain

i know you’ll understand

i know i’m out of line wth

all i hope for is to be with you my head goes on days…

i couldn’t tell you

exactly when or where or

how feelings got this way

then i hear your voice and i hear your pain

know it all too well

here it comes again

then i feel your voice and i feel your pain

know it all too well

hold me close to you again

i’ll hold you closely if you hold us right

please hold me closely well hold on tight

then i hear your voice

and i hear your pain

know it all too well

hold me close to you again

then i hear your voice and i hear your pain

know it all too well

here it comes again

then i feel your voice and i feel your pain

know it all too well

hold me close again

i’ll hold you closely if you hold us right

please hold me closely

well hold on tight

and then i hear your voice and i hear your pain

know it all too well

hold me close to you again

Go On: Encouragment and Perseverance

Go On is about encouragement and perseverance. Change is hard, no matter how many times you do it. But you just might find yourself emerging stronger, more resilient, and ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead. You’ve got this! Spotify dropped March 22.

Bandcamp

Go On – Sunset Sky

Go On is dedicated to those who embrace change, no matter how uncomfortable. Also, from a production standpoint… getting better (:

Go On: Encouragment and Perseverance

It’s easy to slip into routine and complacency, but there comes a time when discontent grows too loud to ignore. “Go On” a track of self-realization and renewal, encourages you to break free from conformity and embrace the authenticity of existence.

With the opening chords we’re drawn into a narrative of introspection and defiance. Once content to sleepwalk through life, now at a crossroads, grappling with the realization that existence has been built upon a foundation of falsehoods and pretense. Yet, amidst the turmoil of awakening, there’s a glimmer of hope—a sense of liberation that comes with shedding layers of deception and embracing the truth, no matter how harsh it may be.

“It was kind of nice for a while To sleepwalk through life Enter a world of fake smiles Then come home late at night”

These opening lines set the stage for a journey of self-discovery and resilience.

We acknowledge the allure of illusion, the comfort of conformity, but ultimately we need confront the futility of living a life built upon lies. It’s a sentiment that resonates deeply with anyone who’s ever felt trapped within the confines of societal expectations, yearning for something more but unsure of where to begin.

Yet, as the chorus erupts with defiant determination, a newfound sense of empowerment emerges:

“Well I go on It feels so good right now I’m finally free There’s nothing holding me back Except for me”

Here, amidst the driving rhythm and vocals, lies the heart of “Go On.”

It’s a rallying cry for those who refuse to be confined by the expectations of others, who dare to challenge the status quo and carve their own path forward. It’s a reminder that true freedom comes not from external circumstances, but from the courage to confront our inner demons and embrace the fullness our humanity.

Throughout the song, there’s a sense of catharsis—a release of pent-up emotions and a shedding of old skin. Acknowledging the losses incurred along the way, the friendships strained or severed in the pursuit of truth. Yet, amidst the wreckage, there’s a sense of gratitude for those who’ve played a role in their awakening:

“Thank you for waking me I can’t say enough It’s time to fight again The real world—can get rough”

These words serve as a testament to the transformative power of adversity, the crucible through which resilience is forged and character is tested. It’s a recognition that true growth often arises from the ashes of our past selves, as we emerge stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever before.

As the song draws to a close, there’s a sense of closure—a final reckoning with the ghosts of the past and a bold declaration of newfound purpose:

“I was going through the motions I finally know it now Brushing off the dust from my jacket Turn my back on what I’ve known”

In these lines, we find the essence of “Go On”—a testament to the power of self-awareness and the courage to embrace change. It’s a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there lies the seed of transformation, waiting to be nurtured and cultivated into something beautiful.

In the end, “Go On” represents hope for anyone who’s ever felt lost or disillusioned, a reminder that no matter how bleak the circumstances may seem, there’s always a light waiting to guide us home. So let us heed its call, embrace our awakening, and step boldly into the unknown, for it’s only in the journey of self-discovery that we truly find ourselves.

Go On Lyrics

130 BPM | C Major

it was kind of nice for a while

to sleepwalk through life

enter a world of fake smiles

then come home late at night

i’ve got to be honest here

it was ok for a time

but how long can you go on

living all those fucking lies

well i go on

it feels so good right now

i’m finally free

there’s nothing holding me back

except for me

it felt so predictable, its the end of the line

i’m getting outside

breaking out of a kind of hell

that was never mine

i think it ended well

thank you for waking me

i cant say enough

its time to fight again

the real world — can get rough

well i go on

i lost good people along the way

but here i stand

scraping off the shit ive stepped in

i hope you understand

life goes on

thank you for waking me

i cant say enough

its time to fight again

the real world — can get rough

was asleep half the time

and now im awake

a pleasant afterthought

to ignoring all the pain

i was going thru the motions

i finally know it now

brushing off the dust from my jacket

turn my back on what i’ve known

thank you for waking me

i cant say enough

its time to fight again

the real world — can get rough

Releases on Spotify March 1.

Bandcamp

Dear Jane by Sunset Sky

i’m going to let this one speak for itself (:

Dear Jane Lyrics

have to tell you

so disappointed

in everything

you say

don’t know what happened to you

or

why you need

to be this way

it seems so sad and lonely

i hope you find the

happiness

you need

in the meantime maybe

understand

you’ve caused a lot of pain

it really not that hard to say

we really should

find god

if you are hurting all the time

maybe

just let it

fall apart

i get that some times have these moments

but this scene is going long

think you’ve been in pain for a lifetime

do you feel the sting of

what you’ve caused?

im really not that sensitve

only a person with a name

you can call it what you want

we’re going down all the same

call it anything you want

know to you it’s just another game

im really not that sensitve

only a person with a name

you can call it what you want

we’re going down all the same

you’re on the wrong side of history

but you don’t seem to see the edge

you can call it what you want

quess the means justify the ends

im really not all that sensitve

only a person with a name

you can call it what you want

but know it hurts us all the same

call it anything you want

know to you it’s just another game

Your Time Lyrics

you are the one that i love

that one that i know

you are so beautiful now

this is your world

this is your time

you’re becoming so used

to the glare of the light

another one gone

you’ve got the world at your feet

you have all that you need

so where do i fit now

more than two of us

can’t add more to your arc

you’re so fucking on fire

you’re so beautifully made

what are you going to do now

everything has a season

this is your time in the sun

there will always be a reason

you’re the only one

what do you do

when you’re the top of your game

in control of emotion

this is your world

others can hope

they can be there someday

but it’s hard in the moment

here in the silence

when the throne isn’t yours

not acknowledging more

that our fate’s been decided

your moment is growing

you can only move forward

you have a limited time

it’s like controlling the ocean

watching in fascination

i can hear the music

rising in your heart

you’re so fucking beautiful

it actually tears me apart

tears me apart

it tears me apart

everything has a season

this is your time in the sun

there will always be a reason

you were the only one

everyone gets their moment

you won’t always feel this way

the melody

in your heart

is so fucking beautiful

tears me apart

every single sign

in every single way

i know i’m out of time

i know im out of place

never want to let you go

but you must find your way

oh i wish you well

as you fade away

you’re so fucking beautiful

tears me apart

Get It Right: Embracing the Moment

“Get It Right” is about the beauty and awkwardness of perfect moments. Capturing the struggle to articulate feelings, the dance track shares a tale of love, connection, and the simple joy of being present with a friend or partner. Releases on Spotify Jan 19.

Bandcamp

Get It Right by Sunset Sky
Thoughts on Get It Right

The chorus would not go away. It appeared one morning and humming it repeatedly i got it down in the DAW. My original intro for this read: “You are with someone you love and nothing you want to say comes out as intended. The track captures the moment with a memorable chorus, instead of the right words.” Which is exactly that. Sometimes the “right” words come out, other times not so much. I always wonder if that means no words were actually necessary and that certain moments are ok with silence, or, more likely, me just being socially awkward. (:

Anyway, this is a bit of a departure –again– from the sound and content of previous tracks but it was really cool how it came together. The vocals only took 4 million takes but worth it as they formed almost ad libbed to capture that truly “i have no idea what i am trying to say” spontaneous feeling. I really hope you enjoy.

Get It Right, Already

In the soft embrace of a moment alone “Get It Right” unfolds like a secret shared between souls, a melody that mirrors night fog. You hopefully find yourself transported to a space where the the language is unspoken love.

Embracing the Moment

The song is an amalgram of moments where words fail but emotions speak loudly. It’s a track dedicated to instances when the heart is full, expression is too much, and the search for the right words is replaced by a shared silence that resonates deeper than conversation.

Soundtrack of The Perfect Night

With a catchy chorus, “Get It Right” becomes a soundtrack to those nights where time stops and the only agenda is to hold each other tightly and sway under the stars to a faint melody. The lyrics, a struggle to articulate feelings, mirror the sentiment of those who may find solace in the silent understanding that transcends the need for words.

Getting the Simplicity Right

The song embodies simplicity, capturing the beauty of the moment without unnecessary embellishments. The reoccurring and self-aware Sunset Sky introspection is laid bare, echoing raw and genuine emotions.

Discover Get it Right for Yourself

For those discovering “Get It Right” for the first time, the song invites you into a world where love is felt, even when words fail. It’s a melody for the soul, and for those seeking solace in unspoken glances and held hands. Enjoy.

Get it Right Lyrics

get it right

do you ever feel

like you’re just not there

the words you say

no one cares

or it’s just the wrong thing to say

you can’t seem to connect

you try anyway

it still doesn’t make sense

is it the way i talk

i can’t do anything right

can never say what i mean

why do i even try

i switch to something else

something light

cause i want to

connect you and i

yes i’m always talking

but i am always listening

why can’t i seem to get it right

the words come out

different than i

ever meant them to sound

even alone with you tonight

even though i can’t say what i mean

you nod silently and listen to me

the beautiful thing you understand

you look in my eyes and hold my hand

yes i’m always talking

but i am always listening

why can’t i seem to get it right

the words come out

different than i

ever meant them to sound

even alone with you tonight

i don’t know

how to say

i just love you

in every way

yes i’m always talking

but i am always listening

why can’t i seem to get it right

the words come out

different than i

ever meant them to sound

while i say i love you tonight

Time to Go Home: An Emotion-Fueled Dance Track

Time to Go Home brims with emotion and sincerity, and unravels a narrative of love, loss, and the inevitable longing for ‘home.’

Now on Spotify

Bandcamp

Time to Go Home – Sunset Sky

This was an interesting track. It might be the last of the heartbreak series. They’ve run their course and have helped define a period of songwriting where we saw better mixing and mastering skills emerge. We’ll see what comes next!

Unveiling the Heartfelt Narrative

The lyrics begin with a subtle touch, describing a moment of hesitation and distance. “When I reached for your hand, you pulled away with a start,” sets the tone for the rollercoaster that follows. Small talk is aknoeldeged, yet deep down, a profound understanding of the partner’s heart is apparent.

The Inevitability of Change

The chorus echoes the sentiment that this is not the end of the story, introducing a theme of hope and acceptance. As the narrative unfolds, we witness the speaker making room for a new friend and battling with the realization that their connection is shifting. The lines “All I ever wanted was to see you smile, and we will always roam” express the desire for happiness and the acknowledgment of a journey that may take unexpected turns.

Longing for Home

Amidst the pulsating beats and rhythm of the dance track, the lyrics take a poignant turn. The singer longs to hold their partner closer, reflecting on the transformation of their initial aspirations into a simple wish – to go home. The repetition of the phrase “I just want to go home” resonates with the universal feeling of seeking comfort and solace in familiar spaces.

The Bittersweet Farewell

The song takes a contemplative turn as the singer admits to giving all they can, recognizing that it might be time to let go. The internal struggle is palpable, with lines like “Never a good time to let go, but I’m losing our touch.” The inevitability of an ending is acknowledged, yet the determination to hold on until the last breath adds a layer of complexity to the emotional landscape.

Closing with Reflection

The lyrics conclude with a poignant reflection on the pursuit of happiness and the solitude left behind. The singer stands in silence, contemplating whether it’s time to go home. This introspective finale leaves listeners with a lingering sense of emotional resonance.

Conclusion:

“Time to Go Home” transcends the boundaries of a typical dance song, offering a lyrical narrative rich in emotion and depth. As we’ve delved into the verses, it’s evident that this track is not just about rhythm and beats but a profound exploration of the human experience. So, next time you find yourself immersed in the dance floor, take a moment to absorb the lyrics and let the emotions of “Time to Go Home” resonate within you.

Time to Go Home – Lyrics

a minor bpm 123

when i reached for your hand

you pulled away with a start

making pleasant small talk

but i know your heart

its not the end of the story

well i’ve been making room for your new friend

know i shouldn’t say it again

but you’re coming home in the morning

at 4am

all i ever wanted was to see you smile

and we will always roam

just wanted to hold you closer

now i just want to go home

i just want to go home

i’ve given all i can give now

and it’s more than enough

never a good time to let go

but i’m losing our touch

oh i know when it’s over

but i can never back down

know i’ll let go on my last breath

or maybe it’s time to go down

all i ever wanted was to see you smile

we will always roam

wanted to hold you closer

now i just want to go home

i want to go home

all i wanted was your happiness

but i was not alone

now i’m left standing in silence

maybe its time to go home

all i ever wanted was to see you smile

we will always roam

wanted to hold you closer

now i just want to go home

Without Me: Heartbreak and Liberation

“Without Me” is a dance pop track unfolding through the highs and lows of a relationship. The song paints a picture of a search, an unspoken hope, and the bittersweet realization that some paths inevitably drift apart. Released on Spotify November 24.

Bandcamp

Another one that came together quickly. I’ve found a groove on creation and production but will probably need to reset soon. Concerned about using or remixing a lot of the same ideas. But, I am enjoying the creation part and I think the productions are getting stronger. So maybe just be ok with where I’m at and allow things to land where they need to land. I overthink, and really it’s all about making music i like and hopefully you enjoy as well. So, please enjoy, and read on for more on Without Me.

Introduction:

“Without Me” is set in the key of A major with a BPM of 122. Through its evocative lyrics, the song navigates waters of heartbreak, self-discovery, and bittersweet liberation that comes with letting go.

Verse 1: Seeking in Silence

The opening verses invite us to embark on self-discovery, urging us to “look high” and “look low” in search of that elusive something. The narrator acknowledges the existence of what they seek, a sentiment shared by many who have grappled with the intangible nature of their desires. The lyrics paint a picture of hope, concealed tears, and the struggle to release what was once tightly held.

Chorus: The Painful Liberation

“I’ve got to set you free, hurts more than you can conceive,” resonates in the chorus, echoing the universal truth that sometimes, liberating oneself and others from the bonds of a relationship is a painful necessity. The lyrics suggest the emotional toll of this process, emphasizing the difficulty in charting new courses when strong currents threaten to pull hearts apart.

Verse 2: Navigating the Unknown

As the song progresses, the uncertainty of life’s paths becomes a focal point. The juxtaposition of feeling “high” and “low” underscores the unpredictable nature of the journey. The narrator acknowledges their presence in the current moment, attempting to let go while grappling with the numbness that follows a profound loss.

Bridge: A Smile through Tears

The bridge introduces a poignant contradiction as the narrator smiles through tears, a powerful metaphor for the facade of strength that often accompanies heartbreak. The acknowledgment that it “still isn’t real” highlights the surreal and disorienting experience of coming to terms with the end of a significant chapter in life.

Chorus (Reprise): Embracing Freedom

The reprise of the chorus reinforces the theme of liberation, with the narrator asserting, “I know I’ll set you free, it hurts more than you can believe.” The acknowledgment of pain, both for oneself and the other, is a testament to the depth of emotions explored in the song.

Conclusion: Echoes of Absence

As “Without Me” draws to a close, the repetition of the phrase “without me” becomes a lingering echo of absence. The song captures the heartbreak, the struggle to move forward, and the eventual acceptance of a new reality. Through its melodic journey, “Without Me” offers solace to those who have experienced the complexity of love and loss, reminding us that healing often begins with letting go.

Without Me Lyrics

Without Me

key of a major bpm 122

look high

look low

did You find what you’re searching for

it’s out there

i know

just never shown its hand before

i can’t

let go

know i always hoped for more

a tear

heart sealed

now pretend it doesn’t feel like hell

i’ve got to set you free

hurts more than You can conceive

look for another shore to chart

these strong currents drift apart

without me

without me

feel high

feel low

uncertain what paths will show

i’m here

so far

just trying to let you go

you’re gone

i’m numb

hard to admit our time is done

i smile

through tears

i’ll keep pretending it still isn’t real

oh without you, I’m set free

it hurts more than I want to believe

losing a big piece of myself

i’m starting to run on empty scenes

without me

without me

i know I’ll set You free

it hurts more than You can believe

Your world’s where i want to be

only hurts because it’s without me

without me

without me

i’ve got to set you free

hurts more than You can conceive

look for another shore to chart

these strong currents drift apart

Waiting on a Friend – Sunset Sky

As of yesterday, this was literally a few chords in the Logic folder and i desperately needed music therapy. So Saturday morning, chords, Sunday evening, track. is it perfect? not a chance. did i want to try and ship simething i put together at a feverish pace? yes. did i learn a ton, and not over think it? yes. is that a win? absolutely. Is it from the heart and you can hear mistakes? again, yes. But it’s raw and fresh and that’s what I love about this one. I hope you do too.

About Waiting on a Friend

In a world where we all face moments of solitude and uncertainty, “Waiting on a Friend” emerges as a compelling dance-pop song that resonates with anyone who has ever felt lost and in need of a lifeline. Let’s explore the deeper themes behind the lyrics and the power of music to bring people together in their times of need.

1. The Lyrical Journey

“Waiting on a Friend” takes listeners on a journey through moments of despair, loneliness, and the quest for genuine connection. The opening lines, “Have you felt you’re all alone and standing on a ledge,” paint a vivid picture of isolation and vulnerability. The repetition of these feelings underscores the universal experience of being pushed to the edge.

2. The Emotion of Loneliness

The song delves into the raw emotion of loneliness and the feeling of being adrift. The lyrics, “Have you felt you’re living there just want it all to end,” vividly capture the pain and longing that often accompany solitude. The song’s acknowledgment of these feelings is a reminder it’s okay to feel this way and that you’re not alone in your struggles.

3. The Power of Friendship

“Waiting on a Friend” emphasizes the importance of friendship as a source of hope and support during difficult times. It encourages us to reach out and connect with those who can lend a helping hand. The lyrics, “Sometimes we’re alone, and it’s not okay. Doesn’t feel so right when you’re pushed this way,” highlight the idea that friendship can be the antidote to loneliness and despair.

4. More Than a Feeling

The song’s chorus, “It’s more than a feeling, and I’m at the end. Don’t know if I can hold on, waiting on a friend,” underscores the idea that the need for connection goes beyond just a feeling – it’s a fundamental human need. The uncertainty of whether or not you can hold on until that friend arrives speaks to the desperation that can accompany loneliness.

5. Rediscovering Trust

As the song progresses, it touches on the process of rebuilding trust and finding hope again. The lines, “then I remember all the times with you, begin to trust again, maybe good is true,” highlight the transformative power of friendship and the ability to mend even the deepest wounds.

6. The Resonance of “Waiting on a Friend”

“Waiting on a Friend” captures the essence of the human experience – the highs and lows, the loneliness, and the joy of finding true connection. It reminds us that, in our moments of despair, we can find hope and solace through friendship. This dance-pop track serves as a testament to the healing power of music and the way it can bring people together.

In conclusion, “Waiting on a Friend” is not only a song; it’s a reflection of being human. Its emotional depth and catchy dance-pop melody make it a track that hopefully resonates with you. Whether you’ve experienced the emotions described in the song or you simply appreciate its message, “Waiting on a Friend” stands as a reminder that we’re all in this together, waiting on a friend to help us through the toughest of times.

Waiting on a Friend – Lyrics

waiting on a friend

key of c bpm 125

have you felt you’re all alone

and standing on a ledge

Have you felt you’re all alone

pushed beyond the edge

have you felt you’re living there

just want it all to end

want to know just where you are

or who to call a friend

sometimes we’re alone

and it’s not ok

doesn’t feel so right

when you’re pushed this way

it’s more than a feeling

and i’m at the end

don’t know if i can hold on

waiting on a friend

don’t know what to do

or even how to feel

maybe done with this

and say goodbye for real

then i remember

all the times with you

begin to trust again

maybe good is true

sometimes we’re alone

and it’s not ok

doesn’t feel so right

when you’re pushed this way

it’s more than a feeling

and i’m at the end

don’t know if i can hold on

waiting on a friend

waiting on a friend

have you felt you’re all alone

and standing on a ledge

want to know where you are

and who to call a friend
