Story & intent
“Inside (All Night)” lives in that 2AM space where the floor is loud, but your thoughts are louder. It’s a 128 BPM melodic house track built on bright leads, crunchy percussion, and a vocal that keeps asking what’s left when the moment ends. Raucous, but introspective. I wanted it to feel like walking home through a neon city, motion-blur lights, a warm apartment window across the street, and that constant anxiety melting away. The synths push forward; the vocal pulls you inward. The tension is the point.

If you’re here for the nerdy bits. The lead rides a simple two-bar motif that opens across the mix with automation on filter cutoff and chorus mix. The kick/bass pocket is clean and the hats carry most of the motion. Vocals are bone-dry in the verse lines, then bloom into a short plate on the hook to widen without washing out the groove.
