The story
I wrote “Understand” on one of those nights when the room felt too small and the future felt loud. It’s a song about the little ways we self-sabotage and the courage it takes to ask for a hand back to the light. Vulnerable vocals ride a warm, synth-pop palette and a house heartbeat built for late-night drives and neon-rain dancefloors.
What it sounds like
Shimmering pads, a steady indie-dance groove, and a bassline that doesn’t quit. The hook centers on a simple plea,“please hold my hand / i want to understand,” set against glossy chords and a cathartic lift.
For DJs & nerds: 118 BPM, key of G. Clean intro/outro for mixing.

Lyrics
Understand
i never wanted anything
to go this far
i would have been much happoiet
just staying in my own corner
i always push the limits (up)
when i can’t find the door
why do i self sabotage
im lying crying on the floor
i want to understand
please hold my hand
i never wanted to hurt you
i’ve said this before
i’ll hold it over my own head
i don’t think i can cry anymore
chorus
oh as i beg forgiveness
do i need a witness
please help me to understand
please hold my hand
i want to understand
oh what we had was magic
whatever happened to us
sometimes i dont realize
everythingwhat i took for granted
maybe i need to feel this
but can i get a witness
oh please help me to make my stand
and i can beg forgiveness
can you be my witness
as i give myself the grace
for my past mistakes
