Wonder is out today.

This song started with a simple idea: what happens when you’ve convinced yourself that maybe the magic is gone?

Sometimes life gets predictable. Things don’t turn out the way you expected. You start putting parts of yourself on a shelf and quietly assuming the best chapters may already be behind you.

And then something changes.

Someone shows up. You turn a corner. A connection you weren’t expecting suddenly makes you question the story you’d been telling yourself.

That’s where Wonder lives.

It’s a song about skepticism becoming belief, about realizing you may have been looking for someone longer than you knew, and about the gratitude that comes with being given a new beginning.

One of the lines that captures it best for me is:

“just when i thought wonder died”

Because that’s really what the song is about. Not simply finding another person, but rediscovering the ability to be surprised by life.

Wonder moves through uncertainty, love, waiting, gratitude and finally that slightly unbelievable feeling of looking around and thinking, how did I get here?

Sometimes the part you thought was the ending turns out to be the beginning of something completely different.
