You can leave a situation anytime you want to, (let’s go!) but some keep at it (Let’s goooooo!). Even knowing you can leave can sometimes empower you when in a difficult place.

I tried to capture the feeling of persistence. That drive to rise above the struggles we all face. The lyrics show the usual vulnerability (awwww!) —laying faults on the line, confronting the messy parts of life. But, as always, it’s paired with a sense of hope.

Movement encourages movement. Blending these themes of perseverance with a catchy melody, i hope something that makes you want to keep moving forward, despite the challenges.

“Let’s Go Part II” is about action. It’s about owning your journey, learning from the falls, and celebrating your perseverance. If you’re working through personal struggles or need a little extra energy, hope this track encourages you to face whatever comes your way.

Production continues to improve and this was one that after eight iterations I finally had to let go. It can be hard to send your creative out into the world. Picasso said something like work is never finished, only abandoned. I always hear something else that can be improved but it becomes time to move on and bring the next idea into being. It’s also a perfect parallel to life in the moment. There are plenty of positive changes but as a cynical optimist, as soon as I’m feeling happy, I begin waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Btw being happy is waaaaaay underrated, and for right now, that’s where I’m at. The music reflects this as #summervibes continue… Enjoy!

This one felt like polishing a turd for a long time. And maybe it still is, but I ended up liking the results, but again, it took a looooong time.

Reverb is my enemy sometimes. It can add a nice ethereal layer to your tracks, or it can turn them into complete mud, like my early experiments trying to paint with oil. BTW, the cover is a section of a painting of mine – acrylic on paper, part of my broken/breaking series.
